Right As Rain

My name is Rainy. I'm a spectacular, big, friendly Percheron-cross gelding. I have a wonderful mind, and I'm not bad looking, either! I'm 6 years old this year, and I'm spending the summer in the mountains, where I'm learning to be a proper grown-up horse!

Follow me on Twitter, too: @RainyTheHorse

Well, I was supposed to have my pedicure today, but the farrier had to reschedule.
But while I was standing around thinking I remembered a scary time that I’ll tell you about. My human took me to a place where there was Yellow Fiddleneck growing. It’s very bad for us horses, and for cattle. It’s yucky and spiny, and I wasn’t very hungry, so I didn’t eat any - I just trampled it - but my human didn’t know that, so she had the vet come out later and take some blood to be sure I was OK. It’s only around in the early spring, then it dies. Here is a picture of it, so you can avoid it (and the vet) yourself. It’s the plant with yellow flowers shaped like a fiddle’s neck. As if I had to tell you that.
